Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will encounter a variety of complex cases, offering numerous opportunities for clinical learning and professional development. As a Physiotherapist at UHN, you will play a crucial role in empowering clients throughout their recovery journey. Utilizing your expertise in treating orthopedic conditions and chronic pain, you will assist injured workers in their rehabilitation and return to work. Experience or interest in concussion management is a valuable asset. You will collaborate with clients and the treatment team to maximize functional outcomes and support reintegration into their roles.

Qualifications

Key Attributes of a Successful Physiotherapist:

  • Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in treating work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, or within the third-party healthcare system, with a preference for strong functional assessment and return-to-work planning skills

Essential Qualities of an UHN Clinician:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate initiative with sound judgment and prioritization skills
  • Understanding of insurance reporting requirements and comfort with mandatory processes; experience in case management and communication with third-party services is advantageous
  • A dedicated team player who can work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, committed to assisting clients with acute and chronic workplace injuries
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Capability to conduct group education sessions and facilitate small group learning
  • WorkWell certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in report writing is beneficial
