Position Overview: The Lead Communications and Fundraising Strategist is a permanent role responsible for executing a comprehensive communications strategy that leverages various traditional and digital platforms. This position is crucial in enhancing the visibility of Carefor Health & Community Services' brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a detailed fundraising strategy and annual action plan to achieve regional fundraising objectives in support of Carefor's programs and services.
  • Create and execute integrated marketing and communications campaigns targeting external audiences through various channels including advertising, direct marketing, and social media.
  • Identify and craft compelling narratives from clients, care-partners, staff, and volunteers for use in communications and fundraising initiatives.
  • Promote the organization by developing engaging content across all digital and social media platforms, with the assistance of the Communications and Fundraising team.
  • Oversee the design, production, and copywriting of promotional materials.
  • Engage with local media by writing press releases, organizing media events, and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain a list of potential donors and collaborate with Regional Council members to cultivate relationships with current and prospective supporters.
  • Monitor and report on progress towards fundraising targets.
  • Coordinate with vendors to support communications and fundraising efforts.
  • Manage and track the budget effectively.
  • Organize and execute fundraising events.
  • Secure sponsorships, both in-kind and monetary.
  • Record and manage donations, ensuring accurate updates in the donor database.
Qualifications:
  • A post-secondary degree in communications or a related discipline (e.g., marketing, journalism, or fundraising).
  • Certification as a Fund-Raising Executive is a plus.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in leading communications initiatives and developing social media campaigns.
  • Experience in fundraising is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with coordinating volunteer efforts for fundraising activities is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience in video production is an asset.
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work from home, with the requirement to be available for in-office work as needed.

Salary: $63, $87,028.50 per year

Schedule:
