About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fundraising Specialist to join our team in Ottawa. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing and managing fundraising strategies that support JDRF's mission.

  • Develop and Execute Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Campaigns: You will be responsible for developing and executing successful peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, including events and online initiatives. Your expertise in this area will drive participation and revenue growth.
  • Cultivate Volunteer Relationships: You will work closely with volunteer event committees, providing them with the tools and support they need to achieve their fundraising goals. You will also identify and develop strategic key account volunteers to maximize event success.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Partners: You will collaborate with corporate engagement teams to align fundraising objectives and leverage corporate partnerships for maximum impact.
  • Manage Donor Relationships: You will manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivating relationships through personalized communication and strategic solicitation plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Fundraising, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • Proven experience in peer-to-peer fundraising events.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
