Engineering Project Coordinator

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Project Manager specializing in the Mining and Refining sector. The successful candidate will oversee all facets of engineering initiatives, which includes establishing the project scope, budget, and timeline, while ensuring the safe execution of projects aligned with corporate and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement projects in line with established policies, standards, and procedures to guarantee adherence to regulatory mandates, as well as the organization's health, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Guide project development by ensuring that engineering methodologies are implemented in accordance with the site’s Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) as mandated by the relevant professional body.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive project life-cycle approach by clearly defining project scope and deliverables at each phase.
  • Identify necessary engineering, procurement, construction, and other resources suitable for the project scope.
  • Formulate execution strategies to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) for financial project approval.
  • Conduct project reporting based on project requirements and management standards.
  • Lead effective change management processes and perform thorough risk management to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Science).
  • Professional engineering or technology designation: P.Eng., C.E.T., or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management within an industrial plant environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, P6, or other project management software.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with excellent analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in job planning and turnaround planning is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.
