Join Our Team as an Engineering Student

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented engineering students to join our team at PCL Construction. As an engineering student, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers with project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Review and analyze technical drawings and documents.
  • Submit requests for information and assist with resolving technical issues.
  • Act as an ambassador for our company's safety campaigns and conduct field safety inspections.
  • Communicate changes and updates to trades staff and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical, electrical, or civil major.
  • Strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in various computer software programs, including Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Multi-discipline mindset and ability to adapt to changing situations.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to provide own CSA-approved steel-toed boots and pass a pre-access alcohol and drug test.
