About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled VDC Coordinator to join our team at EllisDon. As a VDC Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the design and construction process, utilizing your expertise in 3D modeling and design to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Modeling: Interact with engineers and designers to create accurate and detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD, Civil 3D, and Revit software.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to develop project-specific processes for utilizing and creating 3D information for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling, coordination, field layout, and facilities management.
  • Clash Detection and Resolution: Chair coordination meetings with trades and suppliers, perform clash detections, and assist in developing solutions with the project team.
  • VDC/BIM Requirements: Assist with the specification and evaluation of VDC/BIM requirements for subcontractors engaged on VDC/BIM-enabled projects.
  • BIM Execution Plans: Develop and manage BIM execution plans with project stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Design, Construction, and Building Operations, or equivalent combinations of academic or technical experience/knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit, NavisWorks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and exposure to 3D laser scans/point cloud models.
  • Assets: Familiarity with 3DS Max, Ms Project, Synchro4D, Adobe Premiere, ICI Experience, Geomatics, Point Cloud, and SketchUp.
