Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Launch Services Senior Specialist to contribute to our cutting-edge satellite constellation project. This role is crucial in ensuring that launch service providers and their associated suppliers fulfill contractual obligations effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the launch vehicle service provider to ensure compliance with technical requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor the launch dispenser provider to guarantee that the design meets specifications and is properly qualified.
  • Review and evaluate mission integration activities, providing weekly updates to Program Management.
  • Conduct necessary technical analyses in collaboration with launch service providers and satellite manufacturers.
  • Facilitate communication with launch service providers and their suppliers to track technical progress and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Support launch campaign planning and execution, interfacing with various stakeholders at designated sites.
  • Prepare presentations and status reports, serving as a key information source for external teams.
  • Provide onsite oversight during launch operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of extensive experience in complex satellite projects.
  • Proven experience with launch vehicle interfaces in a telecommunications or satellite environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of launch vehicle technology and experience with launch site campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate changing project dynamics and their implications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in subcontract management and collaboration tools.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.

Decision-Making Authority: This role will significantly influence the technical monitoring of launch vehicles and dispensers, requiring the incumbent to make informed recommendations and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Working Conditions: The position involves typical office conditions with extended periods at launch sites and requires international travel to support launch campaigns.
