Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery used in the manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, utilizing a range of testing equipment and diagnostic tools to ensure rapid resolution.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address breakdowns and malfunctions promptly, minimizing production downtime.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to meet safety standards and production requirements.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately perform tasks and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize the likelihood of breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using digital systems or written documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Must be a ticketed Electrician, additional tickets an asset.
  • Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably within the automotive sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and components commonly used in manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is an asset.
