Electrical Systems Specialist

As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and troubleshooting electrical wiring systems, electronic components, and equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our customers receive the best possible solutions for their production challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate work required to assemble and wire control panels, HMI's, and other sub-assemblies.
  • Perform panel wiring, cell wiring, and system wiring, including installation of conduits and wireways.
  • Report any issues regarding workmanship or design to the Lead Electrician or the Manager, Electrical Assembly.
  • Ensure that all print updates are being completed and that rework is properly recorded.
  • Follow OHSC rules and regulations; determine power requirements for projects and install bus plugs, conduits, and cord drops to transformers and/or directly to control panel disconnects.
  • Work with the electrical team as well as project managers, customers, designers, toolmakers, and programmers to solve problems and provide the customer with a complete and functional system.

Requirements:
  • A Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Electrician, a Construction and Maintenance Electrician, or equivalent certifications from other Provinces or Countries.
  • A completed apprenticeship and/or two to three years of hands-on electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience as a licensed electrician.
  • Preference will be given to those with electronics, machine building, or robotics expertise.
