Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8-hour shifts
Position Overview: The successful candidate will execute accounts payable functions within the Finance team.Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and assemble invoices and check requests;
- Identify and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or pricing;
- Prepare invoices for payment;
- Input and upload invoices into the accounting system;
- Track taxable benefit expenses and process expense reports;
- Facilitate electronic transfers and payments;
- Conduct check runs;
- File processed invoices;
- Analyze accounts;
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments;
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies;
- Assist the Finance Team with inquiries and data retrieval;
- Maintain vendor files;
- Communicate with vendors and address inquiries;
- Keep accurate historical records;
- Review vendor statements to minimize duplicate invoices;
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a Business degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience;
- A proactive team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy;
- Experience with Provincial Sales Tax assessments;
- Accounting diploma or degree is an asset;
- Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise accounting systems is beneficial;
- Experience reconciling general ledger accounts is a plus.
- Completion of a pre-placement functional screen;
- Proof of a valid Class 5 driver's license;
- Eligibility to work in Canada;
- Confirmation of valid educational qualifications.
The anticipated salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits program and performance bonus plan. This role requires relocation to the Kamloops area, with travel and accommodation being the responsibility of the successful candidate.
