About the Role

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8-hour shifts

Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for executing accounts payable functions within the Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, verify, and assemble invoices and payment requests;
  • Identify and clarify any discrepancies in invoices;
  • Prepare invoices for payment processing;
  • Input and upload invoices into the financial system;
  • Manage taxable benefit expenses and process expense reports;
  • Facilitate electronic transfers and payments;
  • Conduct check runs;
  • File processed invoices;
  • Analyze account data;
  • Ensure timely payments by monitoring accounts;
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies;
  • Assist the Finance Team with inquiries and data retrieval;
  • Maintain vendor records;
  • Communicate with vendors and address inquiries;
  • Keep accurate historical records;
  • Review vendor statements to minimize duplicate invoices;
  • Complete additional tasks as required.

Qualifications: To excel in this position, candidates should possess:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a Business degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience (Co-op experience is acceptable)
  • A proactive team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy
  • Knowledge of Provincial Sales Tax regulations
  • An accounting diploma or degree is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise accounting systems is advantageous
  • Experience in reconciling general ledger accounts is beneficial

Additional Requirements: Candidates must complete a thorough qualification process, which includes:
  • Passing a pre-placement functional screen
  • Providing proof of a valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Demonstrating eligibility to work in Canada
  • Confirming valid educational credentials

Compensation: The expected salary for this role ranges from $60,000 to $65,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package and performance bonus plan. This position requires relocation to the area, as travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the successful candidate.
