We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at the Kamloops Art Gallery. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing administrative support to our team.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our team, including preparing reports, managing databases, and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, and strong time management skills.
- Screening Questions: Previous experience in a similar field of employment, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 14 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as needed.
- English Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
