Position Overview:

The primary objective of the Advisor Development Specialist is to onboard, cultivate, mentor, and support a cohort of 8-15 emerging Advisors over a period of 36-48 months. This role adopts a comprehensive approach to business growth, encompassing both insurance and wealth management, alongside sales enhancement and client service. Reporting directly to the District Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guide emerging Advisors through onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with Advisors to achieve financial and strategic goals, including sales growth and client engagement.
  3. Monitor compliance measures to ensure operational integrity at the Financial Centre Level.
  4. Ensure that Advisors are properly trained, licensed, and adhering to regulatory and company standards.
  5. Recruit, select, and onboard new Advisors while actively managing the execution of an Onboarding Plan.
  6. Address client complaints, including conducting assessments and advisor investigations.
  7. Maintain operational effectiveness in alignment with business objectives by ensuring adherence to Advisor Agreements and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  1. In-depth knowledge of insurance and wealth management products, with a solid understanding of the local market.
  2. Proven sales management and business development expertise.
  3. Strong mentoring, coaching, and performance management capabilities.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on relationship building.
  5. Experience leading teams through significant organizational changes in a matrix environment.
  6. Background in an Advisor role with a successful track record of developing high-performing Advisors is advantageous.
  7. Previous leadership experience is a plus.
  8. Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape.

Educational Background:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector.
  2. Possession of a valid Life Insurance Agent's license in the relevant province.
  3. Willingness to complete the Branch Manager's Course Examination and fulfill the requirements to register as a mutual fund branch manager.
  4. Good standing with applicable regulatory bodies.
  5. A professional financial services designation is considered an asset.
  6. Proficiency with various technologies, including the Sun Vision Financial Analyzer.

Compensation: This role offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary and performance-based bonuses, with a range of $80,000-110,000 per annum.
