Position Overview:
The primary objective of the Advisor Development Specialist is to onboard, cultivate, mentor, and support a cohort of 8-15 emerging Advisors over a period of 36-48 months. This role adopts a comprehensive approach to business growth, encompassing both insurance and wealth management, alongside sales enhancement and client service. Reporting directly to the District Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide emerging Advisors through onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
- Collaborate with Advisors to achieve financial and strategic goals, including sales growth and client engagement.
- Monitor compliance measures to ensure operational integrity at the Financial Centre Level.
- Ensure that Advisors are properly trained, licensed, and adhering to regulatory and company standards.
- Recruit, select, and onboard new Advisors while actively managing the execution of an Onboarding Plan.
- Address client complaints, including conducting assessments and advisor investigations.
- Maintain operational effectiveness in alignment with business objectives by ensuring adherence to Advisor Agreements and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of insurance and wealth management products, with a solid understanding of the local market.
- Proven sales management and business development expertise.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and performance management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on relationship building.
- Experience leading teams through significant organizational changes in a matrix environment.
- Background in an Advisor role with a successful track record of developing high-performing Advisors is advantageous.
- Previous leadership experience is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape.
Educational Background:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector.
- Possession of a valid Life Insurance Agent's license in the relevant province.
- Willingness to complete the Branch Manager's Course Examination and fulfill the requirements to register as a mutual fund branch manager.
- Good standing with applicable regulatory bodies.
- A professional financial services designation is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with various technologies, including the Sun Vision Financial Analyzer.

Compensation: This role offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary and performance-based bonuses, with a range of $80,000-110,000 per annum.
