Hotel Operations Manager

Arctic Co-ops is seeking a highly skilled Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel and food services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service, managing reservations, and coordinating transportation services for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal customer relations by responding effectively to customer enquiries and requests;
  • Manage the reservation system, register incoming guests, and prepare guest portfolios;
  • Coordinate transportation services to and from the airport as needed;
  • Organize and oversee all hotel duties, including filing, ordering, and sending customer invoices;
  • Conduct day-end closing procedures and reconcile reports as necessary;
  • Process all incoming and outgoing transfers, invoices, and charges;
  • Order hotel and restaurant supplies and maintain adequate inventory levels;
  • Oversee or deliver duties and responsibilities with respect to housekeeping;
  • Hire, train, provide direction, schedule, and evaluate staff for the hotel/food services;
  • Ensure the accurate recording and organization of payroll records;
  • Approve payroll, staff timesheets, and submit them to the General Manager for processing;
  • Ensure that the hotel and restaurant operate in a professional manner and adhere to all regulations and legislated standards;
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs to the facility per the General Manager's guidelines;

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hotel operations and management;
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances;
