Job Opportunity at Athabasca University

Athabasca University's Faculty of Health Disciplines is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure-track position as Assistant/Associate Professor in the Master of Health Studies and Master of Nursing programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and Scholarship: Develop and maintain a strong research program in a strategic area, securing external funding, disseminating research through various channels, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Teaching and Learning: Teach and evaluate undergraduate and graduate-level courses in nursing and health studies, contributing to curriculum development and innovation.
  • Service to the Community: Participate in the life of Athabasca University and the community, fostering partnerships and collaborations.
Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse in Alberta
  • 3-5 years of academic and/or discipline-related experience
  • Developing research program and commitment to growing skills and contributions
