Role Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing new courses aligned with program needs and personal research interests.
  • Coordinating and updating existing courses within the program.
  • Demonstrating excellence in teaching and a commitment to integrating modern digital technologies into online education.
  • Supervising graduate students, as opportunities arise.
  • Participating in various administrative committees and contributing to community service initiatives.

This is a full-time academic position located in Alberta, emphasizing the importance of open access to education.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in French literary studies, enhancing our faculty's expertise in French, Francophone, and Québécois literatures. Familiarity with French language pedagogy and translation courses is advantageous. We welcome applications from scholars whose work critically examines the interplay between French literature and global Francophone narratives. Candidates should have an active research agenda and a strong publication record in relevant fields.

Experience in distance education and proficiency with digital teaching tools will be considered beneficial. Fluency in French and proficiency in English are required.
