About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at SQ Construction. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 maintenance workers, including tilesetters, plasterers, drywall installers, and fence erectors.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Recruit and hire new staff members as needed.
  • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Organized and reliable.
  • Willing to travel.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with 30-40 hours of work per week. The work setting includes construction, installation, commercial, maintenance, residential, repair, and various locations.
