Senior Forensic Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Forensic Accountant to join our Internal Investigation team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting complex internal investigations and developing processes to support our investigation efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead internal investigations, including data extraction, review, and analysis, with minimal supervision.
- Develop and maintain IIU Fraud Detection Tools to support our investigation efforts.
- Oversee issue tracking and escalation mechanisms to ensure timely and sustainable resolution of issues.
- Conduct interviews with internal employees and witnesses, and review multiple claims, documents, and calls to determine the presence of internal threats.
- Support other IIU members in their investigations and provide training and mentorship to new team members.
- Maintain knowledge by attending relevant courses and seminars, and organize training for the IIU team.
- Conduct file reviews and identify training opportunities for the team.
- Work with IIU management to identify risks in the business and develop action plans to mitigate them.
- 10+ years of experience in Forensic Accounting or Audit, insurance, and investigation.
- Master's degree in Forensic Accounting is an asset.
- CPA-CFF in good standing (Québec CPA-EJC).
- AMF Licence 5a.
- Bilingualism is required for candidates located in Quebec.
- Certified Fraud Examiner Designation is an asset.
- Proficient with computer technology and ability to learn new systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise, factual reports.
