About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team at The Algonquin Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our guests.
    • Work closely with our culinary team to ensure that dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Staff Management
    • Lead and motivate our culinary team to achieve exceptional results.
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure that our team members have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the management of our kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
    • Ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and that we have the necessary ingredients to meet the demands of our guests.
  • Quality Control
    • Monitor the quality of our dishes and ensure that they meet our high standards.
    • Address any quality issues promptly and take corrective action as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a senior chef or equivalent.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Safe Food Handling certificate.

Working Conditions
