About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vendor Management Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Vendor Management team, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing vendor relationships to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Contract Management
    • Manage and process vendor contracts in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.
    • Monitor and track risk items and approvals, and process vendor invoices.
  • Vendor Relationship Management
    • Act as a liaison between internal teams and vendors, coordinating schedules and tasks, and gathering insights and approvals.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Risk Management
    • Understand and apply the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
    • Provide subject matter expertise and operational support to technology stakeholders to ensure compliance with Third-party management policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain reports and analysis on key performance indicators, including financial planning, accruals, and invoicing.
    • Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies in contract management and vendor relationships.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of work experience in Project Management, Finance, Operations, and Business Communication.
  • Understanding of financial planning, accruals, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present results and make recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems and processes.
