Job Overview

QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of secondary (high) school or equivalent experience
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 month to less than 7 months of relevant experience
Work Environment
  • Remote and various locations
  • Willingness to relocate is required
Key Responsibilities
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns
  • Exhibit professionalism in customer service interactions
  • Load and unload freight efficiently
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, and brakes
  • Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Carry out pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain vehicle condition through preventive maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch
  • Document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping
  • Handle and transport hazardous materials as required
Licenses and Certifications
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
Documentation Skills
  • Familiarity with accident reports, driver logbooks, and inspection reports
  • Ability to maintain maintenance and repair documentation
  • Experience with trip reporting
Equipment and Technology
  • Experience with flatbed trucking
  • Proficient in using GPS and navigation systems
Travel Requirements
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory
  • Willingness to travel across borders and for extended periods
  • Overnight travel may be required
Physical Demands
  • Ability to handle heavy loads exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Job may involve large workloads and overtime
  • Position is physically demanding and requires prolonged sitting
