Job Summary

Gifft Express Inc. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Drive: Safely operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods, ensuring that cargo is properly secured and protected during transit.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure that it is in good working order.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Teamwork: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working collaboratively with other drivers to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: AZ class license.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a truck driver.
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment, requiring attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks.
