About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at 2197036 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Load and unload goods, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with a focus on attention to detail, and the ability to work overtime as required.
  • Travel Requirements: Willing to travel cross-border, for extended periods, and overnight, with travel expenses paid by the employer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 40 to 60 hours per week.
