Job Title: Senior Finance Manager

The Senior Finance Manager is a key member of the Management Team at The Redwood, responsible for overseeing the financial management and operations of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and financial reporting, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the Management Team, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the agency's capital plan, including facility renovations and repairs, replacement of furniture and equipment, and special projects.
  • Ensure the financial system is properly maintained, including software, hardware, and integration with fundraising software.
  • Collaborate with departments to review financial activities and provide budget planning cycle tools and templates to track progress.
  • Provide financial support to the Executive Director, funders, and Board of Directors in fulfilling objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA, CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management and operations, preferably in a leadership role within a social service or nonprofit organization.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Working Conditions:
  • Work extensively at a desk using a computer up to 8 hours in a working day.
  • This position may involve local travel within the community.
