The Business and Vital Event Registries unit is responsible for delivering critical and time-sensitive services to Albertans and other extra-provincial stakeholders. The business support unit is responsible for maintaining and enhancing business processes and system interfaces that allow for the delivery of those services.
The successful candidate will work independently with project coordinators, management, and senior management in the division to support system work resulting from the recent engagement on condominium property legislation. The position will utilize knowledge of systems, processes, analytics, business intelligence, and reporting to support design and development of new functionality within existing systems for business processing activities.
Key Responsibilities- Data administration and quality control of the CORES and associated sub-systems.
- Business systems problem analysis and resolution.
- Involvement in the planning, research, development, and implementation of system enhancements and new systems releases.
- Conducting sessions to gather business requirements, analyzing results, preparing reports of findings, making recommendations, liaising with stakeholders, implementing and testing requirements, and monitoring day-to-day activities.
- Participating in Acceptance Testing of systems enhancements; corrective changes and new module releases; and participating in all Corporate Registry projects involving system analysis, changes, and enhancements to the CORES and associated sub-systems.
- Ensuring system security and administration of related processes.
- Supporting cross-jurisdictional work to understand and facilitate the transfer of data between jurisdictions.
- Providing internal and external support services to end-users of the CORES and associated sub-systems network.
- Extensive experience managing competing projects and priorities within tight timelines.
- Effective facilitation, presentation, written, and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Identifying and evaluating solution paths in decision making.
- Making timely and well-informed decisions while balancing risks and solving problems quickly and effectively.
University degree in a related field such as Public Administration, Arts, Business, or any other related field supplemented by at least two (2) years of related experience.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of registry systems/databases and their interfaces.
Extensive experience managing competing projects and priorities within tight timelines.
