Job Title: App Analyst Description: Vantix Systems Inc is seeking an experienced Application Developer to provide code deployment services for Intel and UNIX based business application environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in source code control and Application Lifecycle Management. Responsibilities include deployment of applications written in C#.Net, PowerBuilder, C, Pro*C, Perl, Java, Kornshell and database deployments in MS SQL and Sybase. Key Responsibilities: * Create and maintain batch scripts and utilities * Develop and deploy software solutions between multiple environments * Utilize Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps Server * Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices Requirements: * 2+ years of experience creating and maintaining batch scripts and utilities * 3+ years of experience in application maintenance and development * 3+ years of experience using Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps Server * 3+ years of experience building and deploying software solutions between multiple environments * 2+ years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices Nice to Have: * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server * Experience as a Deployment Analyst for UNIX applications * Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 or higher * Experience with scripting tools, such as Powershell * Experience with using JIRA or Revision Control System (RCS) * Experience with using Powerbuilder to build business PB apps Location: Edmonton/Hybrid Work Environment: 1 year with 1 possible 6-month extension Hourly Rate: Negotiable
