GHD's Western Canada Water Group is in search of an Integrated Water Management Technical Director to be based in our Vancouver office.

We are looking for a passionate leader with a strong background in client relations, project management, and strategic planning within the lower mainland region. Our goal is to leverage our extensive corporate and regional expertise in Integrated Water Management (IWM) to grow our team in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Key areas of expertise should include water supply and drought management, wastewater systems, hydraulics and hydrology, stormwater and flood management, watershed planning, and green infrastructure.

Collaborating with a dynamic and high-performing team, this role offers diverse responsibilities, including:

Business Development

Expanding our municipal integrated water management practice in Western Canada Identifying and developing project opportunities Cultivating and maintaining robust client relationships Coordinating with personnel from various business units and regions Collaborating closely with our Water Market Leader, client relationship managers, and technical service leaders to address client needs Leading the proposal preparation process for GHD's clients

Project and Technical Leadership

Contributing to integrated water management planning, strategy, and advisory projects across the water sector Serving as Project Director and/or Technical Lead on significant projects Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement initiatives Collaborating with and integrating technical inputs from various GHD business units Guiding the development of project methodologies, including technical innovations and best practices Overseeing modeling and other technical analyses Managing the preparation of technical reports and studies Guiding the creation of options assessments, business cases, and investment planning. Reviewing and ensuring quality assurance on reports and technical documentation Ensuring delivery quality and client satisfaction

Additional Responsibilities include:

Utilizing your strong understanding of water, sustainability, and environmental policy in British Columbia for client engagement and project execution Maintaining connections and representing GHD in relevant industry and research networks and forums Providing strategic counsel to our clients.
