About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Aliaxis. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing indirect purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support business objectives
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless procurement processes
  • Provide guidance and support to plant personnel on procurement-related matters
  • Monitor supplier performance, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Develop and maintain procurement reports, dashboards, and other analytics to inform business decisions

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • SCMP/CAPM accreditation is an asset
  • Bilingual English and French is a must
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel/Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the thermoplastics pipe and fittings industry is an asset
  • Excellent negotiation, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Well-developed organization, prioritization, and analytical skills
