Position Overview

Are you seeking a role that allows you to apply your extensive psychological and clinical evaluation expertise within a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children, adolescents, and families? If this resonates with you, we invite you to consider this opportunity. The Provincial Campus Based Care (PCBC) is designed for youth aged 12-17 facing various emotional, psychological, mental health, and behavioral issues. You will play a crucial role in the development of programs and services, including the application of the Neuro-sequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT).

As a Psychologist, you will collaborate with fellow Psychologists within the Provincial Campus Based Care (PCBC). Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Collaborating closely with a Multi-Disciplinary Team to create and execute individualized treatment plans while ensuring effective monitoring systems are established. Utilizing your strong assessment skills, you will perform psychological evaluations that involve interviewing youths to assess their mental health status and formulating provisional diagnoses when necessary, along with recommendations for additional assessment or treatment. Engaging in the identification of therapeutic strategies and employing a variety of treatment modalities for individual, group, and family therapy sessions. This position may encompass a supervisory aspect, where you will oversee Psychologist 1's, University Practicum Students, and provisional Psychologists, ensuring the delivery of optimal services in alignment with the role's parameters. You will have the chance to assist staff in enhancing their practice approaches, as well as the analysis of information and the integration of theory and research into practice.

To excel in this role, you must exhibit strong leadership qualities, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will possess relevant theoretical knowledge in childcare practices, assessment, treatment, and behavioral management, while leveraging your exceptional written and verbal communication skills to foster effective relationships with colleagues and clients.
