About the Role

CASA Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Behavioural Specialist to join our team at CASA House, a live-in program for teens who require support with significant mental health and/or addictions challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans, behavioural plans, and/or safety plans for adolescents with internalizing and externalizing difficulties using evidence-based cognitive and behavioural principles.
  • Implement therapeutic models of individual, group, and family therapy to promote positive change and well-being.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of Therapy Support Assistants, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Manage the daily staff schedule, delegating tasks, caseloads, and breaks to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Participate in program planning and development, contributing to the creation of a comprehensive and effective treatment plan.
  • Attend and actively participate in program and clinical team meetings, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure the health and safety of staff and physicians by reporting patient safety events and concerns.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a behavioural science program, psychology, education, or social work, with Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst certification.
  • Behavioural Interventions Certificate of Achievement (BICA) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with mood concerns, learning disabilities, executive dysfunction, and/or personality disorder traits is preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset.
Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • A satisfactory Child Intervention Check.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption on the basis of a protected legal ground.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification.
