Assistant Culinary Leader

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Culinary Leader to elevate our food and beverage services. This role is pivotal in supporting the Executive Chef and stepping in during their absence. The Assistant Culinary Leader is responsible for mentoring new kitchen staff and overseeing the culinary team. Quick thinking, decisive action, and innovative ideas are essential in this dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, working closely with kitchen staff while collaborating with the Executive Chef to fulfill the Food & Beverage vision of the hotel. A strong awareness of contemporary culinary trends is crucial, along with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in all kitchen areas, leading by example in professionalism and competence.
  • Prepare individual dishes and complete meals with precision.
  • Utilize specialized cooking equipment and adhere to food safety protocols.
  • Ensure food quality, flavor, and presentation meet guest expectations.
  • Consistently produce high-quality dishes while minimizing waste and working independently.
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies with care.
  • Communicate any issues promptly to the Chef.
  • Maintain quality control and timely food preparation.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Oversee cleanliness and functionality of kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Organize daily production schedules and ensure all items are prepared accordingly.
  • Familiarize with all kitchen equipment operations.
  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Control food costs by monitoring production and reducing waste.
  • Consult with the Chef on menus, specials, and event preparations.
  • Monitor production standards to ensure efficient service and brand compliance.
  • Assist with ordering, inventory management, and training while upholding food safety standards.
  • Ensure readiness of prep levels for upcoming services.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and oversee cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
