Job Opportunity:

We are seeking motivated and energetic individuals to join our team of Aquatics Fitness Instructors at the City of St. Albert. As a key member of our recreation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality aquatic fitness classes to our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver aquatic fitness classes to a wide range of clientele, including daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive class environment that promotes participant engagement and motivation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to participant needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with other recreation staff to plan and deliver programs that meet the needs of our community.

Requirements:

  • Aquatic Fitness Leadership Certification (Fitness Alberta (AFLCA), Water Art, YMCA, or Can Fit Pro Certification).
  • Current Standard First Aid Certification.
  • Prior instruction experience is an asset.

Working Conditions:

Aquafit classes are held at Fountain Park and Servus Place. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, including weekends.

Compensation:

$46.00 per hour based on certifications and previous experience.

Conditions of Employment:

  • The successful applicant will be required to obtain a clear vulnerable sector police information check.
  • The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of educational and professional credentials.
