Job Summary

The City of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join its Rail Construction Program. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of stations and fixed facility infrastructures for the Confederation Line East and West and the Trillium Line South extensions.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the design and review process to ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards.
  • Manage issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
  • Facilitate design review and change management processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in public consultations regarding stations and fixed facility concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Completion of a 4-year university degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in planning, design, and construction of projects, including 5 years of construction project management experience.
  • Desirable qualifications include experience in Light Rail and SAP-PS.
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership competencies, including the ability to manage concurrent complex projects, facilitate design review and change management processes, and ensure successful project delivery.

  • Language Requirement: English oral, reading, writing.
  • Driver's License Requirement: A valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver's license with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated.
