Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rail Construction Supervisor to join our team at RailWorks Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of rail construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of rail construction projects.
  • Lead and manage a team of construction workers to ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including time sheets, equipment logs, and inspection reports.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure high-quality construction.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure effective project delivery.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in rail construction, including experience with tie changes, track maintenance, and rail inspection.
  • Valid Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR) and Track Inspection Guideline (TIG) certifications.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
