Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Liquor Store Supervisor to join our team at Westgate Liquor Store Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, ensuring they are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
    • Assign tasks and duties to team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Inventory Management
    • Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately counted and stored.
    • Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or disposal of slow-moving items.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that customers receive excellent service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
    • Monitor customer feedback and make recommendations for improving customer satisfaction.
  • Store Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Monitor store appearance and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Financial Management
    • Authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Monitor store finances, making recommendations for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop sales workers, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
    • Monitor employee performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Experience
      • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or supervisory role
    • Skills
      • Excellent communication and leadership skills
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
      • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
    • Work Environment
      • Work in a fast-paced retail environment
      • Work with a diverse team of sales workers and management
      • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
    • Language
      • English
