We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Liquor Store Supervisor to join our team at Whitemud Crossing Liquor Store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, including managing sales staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and provide guidance on sales techniques and customer service.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they have the necessary skills to succeed in the role.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances.
  • Order merchandise and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail business setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent position.
  • 30 hours per week.
  • English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
