Liquor Store Team Lead

At Westgate Liquor Store Ltd., we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Liquor Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our liquor store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are adequately trained to handle customer inquiries and sales.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to ensure that we always have a sufficient stock of popular items.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and ensure that all products are properly stored and displayed.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers and provide guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant work experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and customers.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Organized and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions:

  • 30 hours per week in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Permanent position with opportunities for advancement.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
