Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:
The Customer Service Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating freight and truck movement in a specific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Freight Coordination: Enter orders for the assigned region, ensuring accuracy and completion for dispatch.
- Customer Communication: Update customers on shipment status and produce regular status reports for selected accounts.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule and update shipping and delivery appointments in a timely manner.
- Relationship Building: Establish relationships with shippers and consignees to coordinate appointments effectively.
- Customer Support: Handle customer inquiries promptly and courteously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Transportation Experience: Experience in transportation or logistics is preferred but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication, time-management, and customer service abilities.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
