About the Role

This is a casual opportunity to join our Treatment Support & Recovery (TSR) team at the Penticton Health Centre. As a Treatment Support and Recovery Worker, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing health and social services to individuals with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or problematic substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of clients' conditions and determine their needs, including identifying early symptoms of relapse.
  • Provide comprehensive bio/psycho/social services, including a continuum of options designed to optimize clients' recovery and ability to function.
  • Provide highly involved case management, counseling, and other forms of direct service, and directly provide or assist clients to access services to deal with treatment and recovery issues.
  • Arrange access to specialized services, such as substance use, forensic/criminal justice, developmental disability, and acquired brain injury.
  • Identify the need for, and ensure or arrange transition plans are in place for clients transferring between levels of care.
  • Document assessments, treatment formulations, care plans, and progress notes according to professional standards and established guidelines.
  • Establish effective working linkages/relationships with all pertinent service providers to maximize treatment resources for clients.
