Position Overview
This role is primarily focused on the Western Canada region, specifically targeting the areas of Calgary and Edmonton.
The Associate Territory Manager for Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS) plays a crucial role in providing sales assistance and promoting TIS products to healthcare professionals including Interventional Radiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and Purchasing/Materials Management personnel within a designated market area (DMA). This position operates under the guidance of a National Sales Manager and benefits from the mentorship of experienced Territory Managers, aiming to meet and exceed assigned sales revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with existing and prospective clients to advocate for TIS products, ensuring the achievement of sales objectives as set by the National Sales Manager and Territory Manager mentors.
- Support the implementation of sales strategies aimed at identifying and addressing customer needs, overcoming objections, and securing commitments.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of product benefits and usage.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of Terumo's product offerings as well as competitor products, focusing on their features, advantages, and appropriate applications.
- Conduct product evaluations, participate in endovascular procedures, and provide education to clients on the effective use of Terumo products through in-service training.
- Quickly identify and address competitive challenges within the territory, providing timely market intelligence to Territory Managers and Regional Managers.
- Foster strong relationships with customers through regular personal visits and effective communication.
- Collaborate with Customer Administration, Logistics, Marketing, and Technical Support to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
- Complete and submit weekly and monthly reports, including competitive product analysis, in a timely manner.
- Participate in industry trade shows and conventions to promote TIS products.
- Commit to patient safety and product quality by adhering to all TMC Quality Systems requirements, including prompt reporting of customer feedback and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably within the cardiovascular sector, or medical devices; or a Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of business-to-business sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A proven track record of sales success is essential.
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle with active insurance are required.
