Position Overview: Our governmental client is in search of a Senior SharePoint Security Consultant proficient in the M365 product suite. The ideal candidate will concentrate on the security dimensions of SharePoint, execute security protocols, and assist in IT security operations. This role is designed to be remote with a contract duration extending until a specified future date, with potential for renewal.
Work Arrangement: Remote

Security Clearance: Mandatory Secret
Key Responsibilities: Implement security protocols for SharePoint to bolster IT security operations. Analyze solution design documents to create SharePoint solutions. Assess current SharePoint frameworks and propose enhancements to security posture. Modify SharePoint configurations for improved data governance. Assist a cloud team in deploying SharePoint updates. Enable, disable, and configure SharePoint functionalities. Oversee SharePoint permissions and restrict user access to designated areas, folders, and documents. Required Qualifications: Must possess 10+ years of experience within the last 15 years (including 5 years in Government). Must have completed at least 1 project involving a MS Dynamics-based system. Must have a minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience leading the development of technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies for large-scale projects for Government of Canada departments, agencies, or crown corporations. Proficiency in both official languages, French and English (documentation in English, discussions in both languages). Extensive experience with a focus on the security aspects of SharePoint. Proven track record in implementing SharePoint security measures to support IT security operations. Capability to interpret solution design documents and develop corresponding SharePoint solutions. Experience in evaluating and enhancing SharePoint security posture. Expertise in modifying SharePoint for improved data control. Experience assisting cloud teams with SharePoint update installations. Ability to effectively enable, disable, and configure SharePoint features. Knowledge of SharePoint permissions management and user access control. Desired Skills: Document solution designs and their execution. Conduct functional, sanity, and performance testing. Provide knowledge transfer and training to team members.
