Position Overview: We are in search of a motivated and detail-oriented Property Management Assistant to support the management of our residential real estate portfolio. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in property management, outstanding organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills. As a Property Management Assistant, your role will be crucial in maintaining property standards, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and achieving financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Maintenance: Supervise and coordinate maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring properties are kept in optimal condition. Schedule regular inspections and promptly address any maintenance concerns.
  • Tenant Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for tenants. Manage inquiries, resolve complaints, and mediate disputes professionally and efficiently. Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants to promote lease renewals.
  • Leasing and Marketing: Oversee the leasing process, which includes marketing available units, conducting property showings, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements. Strive to maximize occupancy rates.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in property management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in property management, ideally in residential or commercial environments.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) are preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and make swift decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as necessary
