Job Summary:

Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Supervisor to join our team. As an Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising field operations, providing quality and timely service to our customers, and contributing to the planning and execution of all work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise crew leaders and crew members, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are assigned to crews, and that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Plan and conduct ongoing training for field service staff in customer relations skills, horticulture and technical skills, and health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain facility and yard organization, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare daily work schedules, and expedite workflow to meet customer needs and deadlines.
  • Issue written and oral instructions to crew leaders and crew members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of crew leaders and crew member's timesheets, using LMN or Aspire for reports and daily notes.
  • Evaluate regularly Clintar's service to customers, identifying areas for improvement and developing procedures to eliminate customer complaints.
  • Supervise winter staff and storm execution within your assigned area, ensuring a high level of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor field staff morale and work to promote a total team effort, recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
  • Work with Operations Manager to identify ways to ensure a high customer retention rate, developing strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Evaluate performance, make wage recommendations, and administer disciplinary action consistent with HR policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence, including proposals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of customer service situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years Landscape and Snow experience in a large commercial Landscape/Snow Environment - MANDATORY.
  • Clean and valid Driver's License.
  • Vast knowledge and operational experience using heavy equipment (Ag tractors, Wheel Loaders, Skidsteers, Large trucks).

Education and/or Experience:

  • University or College degree.
  • Horticultural, Landscape or CLT, CIT, CHT considered an asset.
  • Advanced Snow Management (ASM) or Certified Snow Professional (CSP) designation considered an asset.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

  • Spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
  • Faced with constant interruptions as located in a busy office.
  • Spend long hours in intense concentration.
  • Long hours in the field, which can be physically demanding - working in inclement weather.
