Job Title: Executive Chef

The Algonquin Resort is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Train and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food preparation and presentation.
  • Plan and execute menus that meet the highest quality standards and cater to diverse dietary needs.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by maintaining proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Collaborate with our events team to create customized menus for banquets and special events.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our culinary offerings.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing kitchen teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Safe Food Handling certification.
