RF and Mixed Signal ASIC Design Engineer

HaiLa is a pioneering company in the field of ultra-low power radio communications, aiming to revolutionize the industry by eliminating the need for batteries in wireless communication devices. Our innovative product harnesses energy from the environment, enabling Ambient Power IoT with sensing capabilities on existing protocols like Wi-Fi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop RF and analog/mixed-signal circuitry concepts to advance our system-level technology roadmap.
  • Design and verify/debug RF and analog/mixed-signal ICs in bulk CMOS from product definition through to mass production.
  • Collaborate with the analog design team, systems and product definition, digital designers, and 3rd party contractors to implement the complete ASIC solution.
  • Resolve performance, area, power, and system cost tradeoffs to optimize system architecture.
  • Support IC validation and characterization efforts.
Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of analog/mixed-signal design flows in a Linux environment, specifically Virtuoso schematic and layout, and EMX.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with design and layout of LNA, PA, Mixer, Op Amp, Filter, VCO, XO, Synthesizer, LDO, DAC, ADC, and TDC.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with high-volume IC manufacturing is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Top-level IC design experience.
  • Experience with the evaluation and integration of 3rd party vendor IPs.
  • Proficiency with TCL, Perl, or other scripting languages, skill code, and pcell creation.
  • DC-DC converter design experience a plus.
  • Sub-threshold / very low power CMOS design experience.
