Project Lead - Digital Analog PCB Design

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Lead - Digital Analog PCB Design to join our Satellite Systems team at our Montreal office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of hardware designers from conception to validation and integration of mixed signal (Digital & RF) electronics units used in satellites and other space-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a Digital/Analog design team for space products, encompassing RF, systems, power, digital, manufacturing, structure, packaging, EMC, and thermal.
  • Responsible for leading a team to deliver on program cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Provide and communicate understanding of the programmatic aspects of a program to the technical team.
  • Assess risk and make risk-based decisions throughout program lifecycle to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Ensure Digital/Analog team follows quality and reliability standards.
  • Guide junior members and new employees.
  • Coordinate with technical leads and program managers the conversion of system level requirements into electronic unit level requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent.
  • Ten (10) years minimum experience designing processor, high-speed or mixed signal PCBs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Cost and schedule planning experience.
  • Knowledge in Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets, JIRA, MS Access, or similar tools.
  • Ability to coach and supervise junior members and interns.
  • Experience with design architecture and handling of multi-disciplinary specifications and reviews.
  • Knowledge of space radiation effects on parts is an asset.
  • Exposure to RF design, mixed signal, signal processing, high-speed or motor control design.

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
