Caseload Overview:
We are currently seeking full-time, part-time, and casual Speech-Language Pathologists to manage an adult caseload supported by secure Ministry funding. Services include speech therapy in home and community environments, with assessments and interventions tailored to various needs. The clinical focus encompasses areas such as dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, cognitive-communication, and voice disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting client assessments in community settings utilizing standardized assessment tools
  • Developing treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and clinical expertise
  • Engaging clients, families, and caregivers in achieving client-centered goals
  • Providing education and support to clients and their families
  • Evaluating intervention effectiveness and client progress
  • Implementing evidence-based assessments and interventions using SMART goals

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registration with CASLPO (Mentoring Available for Initial Practice)
  • Strong assessment and intervention capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
  • Experience in delivering community-based services
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Preferred 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Dysphagia experience is advantageous
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • Proof of professional liability insurance
  • Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
