Position Overview:

We are seeking full-time, part-time, and casual Speech-Language Pathologists to manage an adult caseload funded by secure Ministry resources. Therapy services are provided in home and community environments, including long-term care and retirement residences. The clinical caseload encompasses various areas of practice such as dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, cognitive-communication, and voice disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive client assessments in community settings utilizing standardized assessment tools.
  • Formulating treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
  • Engaging clients, families, and caregivers in the development of client-centered goals.
  • Providing education and support to clients and their families.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and client progress.
  • Delivering evidence-based assessments and interventions using SMART goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Registration with CASLPO (Mentoring available for initial practice).
  • Strong assessment and intervention capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Experience in providing community-based services.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with effective organizational abilities.
  • Preferred 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Dysphagia experience is advantageous.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Proof of professional liability insurance.
  • Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
