Position Overview

The Healthcare Sales Consultant for Alternate Sites is tasked with fostering and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as key decision-makers, to drive future business growth. This role is essential in enhancing profitability and expanding existing accounts by promoting ICU Medical products and extending connections into new areas within the non-acute care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets for ICU Medical's Infusion Therapy, Devices, Oncology, Specialty, Respiratory, and Vascular Access product lines, along with associated services.
  • Develop exceptional presentation skills and share in-depth technical knowledge of ICU Medical products, ensuring effective communication with hospital clinicians in line with FDA, CDC, SHEA, INS, ONS, ASHP guidelines.
  • Understand the competitive landscape, including the strengths and weaknesses of rival products, to effectively position ICU Medical's offerings in a clinical context. Serve as a consultative problem solver for clinical and supply chain contacts.
  • Familiarize yourself with the assigned territory, customer base, contracts, product solutions, and distribution models.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initiation to closure.
  • Drive business development efforts with key targets, facilitating opportunities through the sales pipeline and preparing them for closure by Sales Specialists.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for the full range of ICU Medical products.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and management to align sales strategies with company and regional objectives.
  • Assist field sales in managing customer communications regarding backorders, allocations, pricing, and contracts.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, and professional, capable of performing job responsibilities with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of sales experience is preferred, ideally in medical products or pharmaceuticals.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • A valid driver's license is required as part of the employment scope.
  • Compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, is necessary to fulfill the essential functions of the role at customer locations.

Work Environment

This position is primarily field-based. Work may be conducted from a home office equipped with standard office tools, as well as on-site at customer locations. The role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, depending on customer needs. A valid driver's license is necessary, and compliance with the Authorized Driver Policy is required for driving on behalf of the company. Travel may be required up to 60% of the time.
