Position Overview

The Healthcare Sales Consultant for Alternate Sites is tasked with fostering and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as key decision-makers, to drive future business growth. This role is pivotal in enhancing profitability and expanding current accounts by promoting ICU Medical products and penetrating new markets within the non-acute care sector.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve sales targets for ICU Medical's Infusion Therapy, Devices, Oncology, Specialty, Respiratory, and Vascular Access product lines, along with associated services. Develop exceptional presentation skills and convey technical expertise regarding ICU Medical products, ensuring alignment with industry guidelines from FDA, CDC, SHEA, INS, ONS, ASHP, etc., to engage effectively with hospital clinicians. Understand the competitive landscape, identifying strengths and weaknesses of rival products, and strategically position ICU Medical's offerings to address clinical needs. Serve as a clinical expert and consultative problem solver for clinical and supply chain contacts. Familiarize yourself with the designated territory, customer demographics, contracts, and distribution models. Manage the entire sales process from initiation to closure. Propel business development efforts with key targets, advancing opportunities through the sales pipeline and preparing them for closure by Sales Specialists. Conduct product demonstrations for the complete range of ICU Medical products. Collaborate with sales teams and management to synchronize sales initiatives with company and regional objectives. Assist field sales in addressing customer inquiries regarding backorders, allocations, pricing, and contracts. Engage in special projects as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Highly self-motivated, energetic, and professional, capable of executing job responsibilities with minimal oversight. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong presentation and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks. Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Minimum Requirements

· Must be at least 18 years old.

· A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.

· Preferably, 1 year of sales experience in medical products or pharmaceuticals.

· Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.

· A valid driver's license is necessary as part of employment.

· Compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, is essential to fulfill the core functions of this role at customer sites.

Work Environment

· This position is primarily field-based.

· Work may be conducted from a home office utilizing standard office equipment, as well as on-site at customer locations.

· The role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, depending on customer needs.

· A valid driver's license is required, along with adherence to the Authorized Driver Policy for driving on behalf of the company.

· Travel may be necessary up to 60% of the time.
